International competition

CS in the UK has several International competitions. The CSF administers the Home Internationals, and appoints the UK National squad managers and coaches, including our Team GB squad, for all international team competition. The other competitions are administered by the International Cycle Speedway Federation (ICSF).

Home Internationals

Raced between Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales, in the Under 18, Open and Over 40 categories. Women’s racing contests the Regional Best Pairs in the same event.

Euro Club Championships

Alternating every other year between the UK and Poland, the 2026 competition being staged across three days in May, in Leszno in Poland. Clubs from across Europe enter a Fours team, aiming to qualify for the Semi finals and Final.

Euro Individual Championships

Alternating every other year between the UK and Poland. Three days of knockout rounds to decide the top 16 in the Under 18, Open and Women’s categories to race for the title of European Champion.

On the penultimate evening the Euro Nations Cup is contested using a Fours formula.

The 2026 competition will be hosted in the Midlands, with Wednesfield hosting the Euro Nations Cups and Birmingham hosting the Individual finals.

World Indoor Championships

New for 2027, CS Indoor will be part of the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships in Haute-Savoie, France. Watch this space for more details!

World Championships

The big one. Every other year, alternating between the northern and southern hemispheres, spanning ten to twenty days. World Individual Championships for Under 16 Open and Girls, Under 18s, Women, Open, 40+ and 50+ categories.

The last World Championships was in September 2025, in Suffolk and Norfolk. The 2027 World Championships will be in Adelaide, Australia.

There are three team competitions as part of the World Championships.

  • The World Nations Cup, raced as a Fours formula.
  • The Federation Cup between GB, Poland and Australia, raced as six rider teams.
  • The informal “Ashes” series between Team GB and Australia, and other friendly Nations matches.
