CS clubs are always happy to engage with their community; to promote cycling, get people riding , and hopefully attract a few new members. 😊
If you represent a school, youth group, business or other club that fancies trying a new cycle sport; or you’re hosting a fete or show and are looking for active attractions, please get in contact with your local clubs.
Disability and SEND
CS is a low risk sport, and the track provides a safe traffic-free environment for fitness and development. Some clubs partner with Access Sport’s Wingz programme, and/or British Cycling’s Limitless programme to provide disability-inclusive sessions.

Examples of outreach
Kesgrave CSC provided free coached Taster sessions for two days, at the Suffolk Show. Over 300 riders took part, from balance bikes to learning to ride, to an introduction to cycle sport – mostly youngsters, plus a few brave adults of all ages.
Sheffield CSC has worked with Sustrans and the Links School Partnership over 15 years, running sessions at schools in the Sheffield Rotherham and Doncaster area, and inviting school groups to their two tracks.
This year they are working with fifteen primary schools and 180 students, among the ~1500 who’ve attended over the years.
James Bunting began his journey to the Great Britain Cycling Team (GBCT) velodrome Sprint squad and Olympic ambitions after a school visit to the Sheffield track and racing with the club for several years.
Ipswich CSC partners with our local SEND school, Thomas Wolsey Ormiston Academy, to provide school cycling sessions on their fleet of adapted cycles, and a racing experience with start gate, flags and PA system at Ipswich’s track nearby.
Eurovets is an inclusive community within CS for, but never limited to, riders over 40. Events provide for established racers and those no longer riding, plus people tempted onto or back onto a bike.
Every Eurovets event raises funds for the Orchid male cancer Charity, raising around £1000 per year since 2015.
Norwich CSC run free Taster sessions at Hillside Ave Primary school, as part of their “Hillfest” annual fete. They are one of our partner clubs with Access Sport, running “Wingz” pan-disability and inclusive sessions.
